Steering Knuckle Structure
The steering knuckle is a hinge of the wheels for turning and it's generally a forked shape. The upper and lower forks have two coaxial holes for the kingpin, and the knuckle journal is used for mounting the wheels. The two ears of the pinhole are connected to both ends of the front axle through the kingpin so that the front wheel can be deflected around the kingpin at a certain Angle to steer the car. To increase the wear resistance, a bronze bushing is pressed into the pin holes. For flexible steering, bearings are mounted between the lower steering ear and the end of the front shaft. An adjusting gasket is also mounted at the joint of the upper steering ear to adjust its assembly clearance.
