Production Information
A knife gate valve is also known as a slurry valve or slurry knife gate valve, its opening and closing part is a blade-shaped disc / a wedge gate, the movement direction of the gate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid, and the gate of the commonly used knife gate valve has two wedge-shaped sealing surfaces, and the wedge angle varies with valve’s parameters. There is no cavity in the knife gate valve body, the gate is slid up and down in the side guide groove.
If a higher sealing performance is required, an O-shaped sealing valva seat can be used to achieve bidirectional sealing. Vigor's knife gate valve/slurry valve has the advantages of small installation space, low working pressure, and is not easy to accumulate debris.

Vigor's knife gate valves have high precision requirements on rough castings, machining, and also assembly, when it's closed, the valve can achieve an excellent sealing performance just by the medium pressure, that’s to rely on the medium pressure to press the gate sealing surface to the valve seat on the other side to ensure the sealing performance, this is the self-sealing capacity. But the most of the other gate valves can only use an external force for sealing, the gate has to be forced to the valve seat by an external force to ensure the sealing performance.
